I don't think we have any plans to implement a family tree, but in future games we definitely will go about things differently! The game wasn't built with keeping track of lineage in mind. i think it'd be great to also parse them by the parties they've fought with, and by class.įamilies were added quite a ways into Wildermyth's development, so the system wasn't designed around it. We can separate legacy characters by their tier so it shouldn't be too difficult to also do so by their relationships. it would be great to be able to visualize all their offspring, grand children, and great grandchildren. the same father had a wife and children in one campaign, and then started another family with another wife. still hoping to see this, but i don't think this would be a problem. and an entirely different spouse in another campaign. It would just be awesome to have a sci-fi version done in the same style.īut as the dev mentioned it's not something their interest in doing.so I guess I'll have to be disappointed.Originally posted by Blood Flowers:This might be rather awkward since I think your legacy heroes can have a spouse in one campaign. It's one of the more unique experiences I've had in my long years of gaming. None of the games above in my opinion are anything like Wildermyth. And to top off the whole thing you can co-op with your friends. They seem to focus on them and their stories more than just the gameplay and combat The papercraft artwork is very nice as well. I really like this game because of the way your heroes grow and evolve over each campaign. As for Deep Sky Derelicts I can't remember a lot about it except I wasn't really into it. (Shows my age a bit) Outside of the combat style being turn based strategy they aren't very similar. I played all the X-Com games as they came out. I actually own all 3 of those games everyone mentioned.
